Staying firmly with the North Asian theme, we have been on a mission to
find authentic Indian cuisine this week. Our winner has to be Vedas on
use of authentic spices, and the feeling that you are in India as soon
as you walk into the door. Dishes,
although a little heavy on the salt were rich in taste, texture, and colour. Main courses are
around 50rmb and very filling and there is an excellent selection of breads, unusual starters and rices. The portions are just o.k. not that great! Great hospitality and a taste
of real India in this homely restaurant. I really enjoyed my dinner. Naan and papadam tasted just like in India, well that’s what my Indian friend said! There is a great selection of dishes andeverything I’ve tasted has been so good. Well, the “Indian ice cream” maybe isn’t worth ordering… I warmly recommend Vedas for anyone who enjoys Indian food.
